In this painting of the Ferria, a once Utopian estate in south London, Laura paints a row of tower blocks seen through woody stalks of cowslip. The atmosphere in the paintng is dull and oppressive, yet early morning light breaks to illuminate and warm. Laura captures irrational beauty building up layers of paint and glazes.
